At its Regular Council Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, beginning at 6:30 pm, in the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, 1027 Aldous Street, Smithers, BC, public will have the opportunity to comment on the following bylaw:
Bylaw No. 1974: To permanently close and dispose of the existing Hubert Street road right-of-way, approximately 20 m wide and 300 m long, located diagonally between lower Main Street and Riverside Drive (see the map attached below). Once the bylaw is adopted, the land will be disposed of to the owners of the adjacent properties with Parcel Identifier (PID) numbers 029-226-848 and 030-504-635, to enable a new residential development on the consolidated parcel.
Anyone who believes they will be affected by the proposed bylaw is invited to present written or verbal submissions to Council for consideration at the Public Opportunity meeting. All written submissions must be received at the Town Office before 1:00 pm on Monday, March 10th, 2025. The meeting will be Facebook live-streamed at: www.facebook.com/townofsmithers/
